Balloons-Latex
balloons are not permitted in the hospital, due to latex
allergies. Mylar balloons are permitted.
Cafeteria-The hospital cafeteria is located on the
first floor, north of the inpatient area. The cafeteria is open to
the public from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Lunch is served from 11:45
a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and dinner is served from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Coffee, tea, and lemonade are available during
cafeteria hours.
Chapel-For the spiritual needs of our patients and
visitors, a small chapel is located just inside the main entrance;
adjacent to the reception desk.
Payment Options-To
assure maximum benefits are received, our staff can work with
Medicare/Medicaid or your insurance concerning pre-surgical
requirements. Please contact Delores Bragg (660-385-8732) with your
coverage information as soon as you know surgery is needed.
If
payment arrangements are necessary, contact the Patient Accounts
Department. In order for claims to be filed properly and timely, it is
the responsibility of all patients to provide the hospital with the
proper insurance information at the time of service. Samaritan Hospital
will file all Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance claims. We also offer
assistance with a variety of financial arrangements for any remaining

Smoking Area-Designated
smoking areas are clearly marked with signs. Hospital employees will be
happy to direct you to a designated area. Please refrain from smoking at
the hospital entrance.
Telephone-Each
room has a direct dial telephone. To place a local call dial
"9", wait for the tone, then dial the number. All long
distance calls must be either collect, calling card, or billed to your
home number.
Vending-Vending machines are located in the
hallway between Registration and X-ray, and in the Break Room across
from the Cafeteria.
