Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation
The Wellness Center helps patients recovering from heart attacks, suffering from diabetes or lung conditions or in need of weight management. Our staff can adapt an exercise program to suit your personal needs and set you on the path to a more active lifestyle.
Dialysis Center
We provide outpatient hemodialysis treatment three days a week for patients with renal failure. Transient patients can receive treatments at our center by scheduling appointments in advance.
Dietary
With a doctors referral, our registered dietician can provide counseling for patients with conditions/disorders that are nutrition related.
Emergency
Our 24 hour/7 day a week ER is continuously staffed by a physician and registered nurse. Our staff is ACLS Certified, along with many other certifications. The Macon County Ambulance Service is based at Samaritan Hospital with three ambulances. All ambulance staff assists with patients in the ER.
Home Health
Our Home Health Agency can provide patients with skilled nursing, speech, physical and occupational therapies in the comfort of their home. We provide emergency response systems that provide 24 hour support and protection services for the elderly or chronically ill patients.
Laboratory
Our lab is equipped with the latest technology to allow us to perform tests on site and provide our physicians with valuable information to diagnose their patients.
Medical/Surgical Nursing
Our highly trained staff works with your physician and family to ensure you receive the best care. We have Special Care beds for those with serious illnesses.
Occupational/Physical Therapies
Our therapists work with patients on all levels using various methods and exercises to help return patients to their highest functional level.
Pharmacy
Our registered pharmacists and technicians use our computerized Pyxis system to ensure that medications are accurately and safely dispersed throughout the hospital.
Radiology
Using the latest technology, we offer a wide variety of procedures to our patients, including X-rays, Ultrasound, CT or CAT Scan, mobile MRI and Dexascans which measures bone density.The PACS digital radiology system produces high quality images, reduces interpretation time to 24 hours or less and the physician can receive the results via computer at the office or home.
Respiratory Therapy
Our staff provides services for inpatients and outpatients to prevent and treat diseases of lungs and respiratory tract. RT also analyzes arterial blood gases, performs pulmonary function tests, and breath alcohol tests.
Sleep Study Lab
Our sleep study lab tests for various sleep disorders and helps diagnose patients and find a course of treatment for the disorder.
Speech Therapy
Our therapist provides diagnostic evaluations and treatment for speech, language and swallowing disorders for all ages.
Social Services
We can provide information and assistance with any hospitalization needs, financial, post-hospital care or nursing home placement. Free consultations are available regarding Health Care Directives and Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care Decisions.
Surgical Services
Inpatient and outpatient cataract, orthopedic and general procedures are performed by highly trained surgeons and anesthesia by Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists.
Swing bed/Skilled nursing services
Swing Bed for patients with illnesses or injuries that require skilled nursing or rehabilitation daily.
